The purpose of this work is to determine tense-deformed state of developed folder clip under different loads.

The clip consists of a base, a resilient member, fastening plates, brackets and a handle.

Elasto-plastic materials were used to model plastic bracket parts.

Two-stage static analysis was performed:

  • Assembly. Account is taken of contact of all parts with each other, resilient member pretension, and handle latching in the base.

The distribution of tension and deformations in clip parts was determined during the calculation. According to the received results, recommendations of improvement of the structure were made.
