A hangar structure is a half of cylinder assembled from tandem sets of sections. The hanger has no additional strengthening elements. Stiffness of the construction is only the combined stiffness of its sections.

To form the arched section capable of stiffening the structure, a corrugating process is used. The currugator forms folds on the sides of a finished section so that its central line had the desired curvature.

A tooth wheel system was developed, providing a step-by-step deformation of steel section to achieve the required shape.
